Letter Formatting
Introduction:
People use letter formatting in everyday use. It is most commonly used for job applications or any formal letter.
Beginning of a letter formatting:
There should be a 2 inch margin before typing the return address. Then, there should be a quadruple space between the return and letter address. The salutation should come one line after the letter address. It should be single spaced between each line.
End of a letter formatting:
After the body paragraph (s), double space and then write a closing line. Following the closing line, a typer should quadruple space their name.
Report Formatting
Introduction: All papers should follow the MLA guidelines. A Typer must start with a pagination on the right side of the page that includes their name and page number. After, they should put name, teacher, class, and date on the left side of the paper. All of this should be double space. Works cited, a typer must also put a pagination on the right side of the paper. The works cited should include the hanging indent featured in Microsoft.
Formatting Rules: Go to the insert tab and click on page numbers, there you will find the proper way to add your name and page number on the top right of the page. Then, you should double space and write your name. Double space again and write your teacher's name. Thirdly, double space again and write your class. Lastly, type the date in which the paper is due. The date should be: day, month, and year. Double space and then begin writing your paper.
Work Cited Rules: Insert the appropriate pagination on the right side of the page. Center the title of the works cited. All of the sources listed should be doubled space. The, go to the format tab and click paragraph. Under the indention, got to special and choose hanging indentation. This align the second line of the source.
Tips:
- Always double space everything in the paper.
- Make sure your pagination matches the correct page you are on.
- Check to be sure that your heading is double spaced.
- Hanging indentations for work cited is very important when listing sources.
